Since it’s inaugural season in 2012, the Blackman Youth Football Association has provided children ages 5 to 12 the opportunity to compete in football and participate in cheerleading. As a 501c3 Non Profit Organization, it is BYFA’s goal to develop and prepare today’s young athletes for what lies ahead in sports and in life. Guided by a volunteer Board of Directors, BYFA has positioned itself to be a premier football and cheer organization for years to come.
Located on the West side of Murfreesboro, the Blackman Youth Football Association calls Blackman High School’s football field “The Inferno” home. BYFA takes great pride in ensuring that all aspects of an athlete or cheerleader’s experience exceeds expectations. From providing high caliber equipment and coaches to creating memorable game day experiences, no part of the season is over looked.
Since inception, BYFA has been a member of the Tennessee Youth Football Association (TNYFL), which has now grown to 13 communities across Middle Tennessee.
The coaches are dedicated to promoting the core values of the Organization. Wins and losses are not a priority for our coaches; developing life skills and individual character is what guides our coaching decisions and actions. Coaches are expected to lead by example in both words and actions on and off the football field. Coaches accept responsibility of the development of our athletes as both players and persons while under their direction. Our goal is to be an organization that not only develops Blackman football players and Cheer Leaders that parents and coaches will be proud of, but also guide our athletes to becoming positive contributors to any team they choose to be a part of.
